What is Immersive Audio?
Immersive audio, surround sound, spatial audio, 3D audio…. These are all terms used to describe music that uses more than the 2 channel stereo mix that has been the standard for 50 years. Surround sound has been the standard for film and movie theaters for several decades, however, music has never had a proper delivery format for immersive audio until recently.
